For daily cleaning, use a damp cotton or wool cloth, while in case of persistent stains, use a vegetable sponge soaked in water and mild soap. Avoid chemicals that may corrode the varnish and create additional stains or halos. Do not use oils, waxes, alkaline or solvent-based cleaning agents on lacquered furniture. It should also be remembered that a lacquered piece of furniture exposed to direct light changes its colour over time. This change is considered to be a natural process of oxidation of the coloured pigment.
