This is inspired by the craftsmanship of renowned tailors who were skilled at enhancing each fabric using hand stitching and embroidery to produce a substantial aesthetic impact. The Canette uses only genuine leather, or nubuck leather, crafted using top-quality threads to inscribe irregular lines that determine its aesthetic feature.
Sartorial handiwork for a unique dresser that uses only wood that has been finished using low environmental impact varnishes that capture colour and allow the wood to breathe. The interiors have also been designed in detail, as is the case with all Morica pieces. The Canette particularly features organised drawers and glass shelves that can be adjusted as desired.

Sideboard with 2, 30 mm thick doors and 3 drawers in MDF with real Canaletto walnut wood veneer. Two doors upholstered in shell-coloured genuine nabuk leather crafted by hand to create an irregular, rounded ‘canneté’ effect with a solid wood profile joined at 45° and a hollow to aid opening. Three drawers in MDF veneered in real Canaletto walnut wood, with handle insert in shell-coloured nabuk leather. The dresser interior consists of two 6 mm shelves in clear smoked glass with height-adjustable shelf supports. Powder-coated curved metal base in a dark burnished finish with genuine brushed brass finish. Soft-closing drawer guides and push-pull mechanisms for doors.

Canaletto walnut wood
A wood species carefully selected for its light sapwood (the lightest part of the grain), which is enhanced by brushing to provide even more vivid tones and greater porosity. The result is a wood that transports you into nature with a single touch and visually takes on many different nuances.
Frame
The calendered metal frame, with its arched shape and genuine brass detail, provides great value to the dresser as a whole.
Leather
The craftsmanship of the leather provides a particularly supple, uniform appearance, which is soft and light to the touch. The handcrafted threading makes each product unique and artisanal. The experience of our craftsmen, working diligently in the production of Italian design and quality, materialises into an eco-sustainable choice.

The leather has been carefully selected to meet the strict standards of quality and environmental sustainability. Our leather is of Italian origin (Leather from Italy – full cycle UNI EN 16484 certification) and is certified for low environmental impact and reduced emissions (Carbon footprint of products – ISO 14067: 2018; der Blaue Engel – RAL UZ 148); Environmental Product Declarations – EPD® System ISO 14025.
For Canaletto walnut wood with Terra Diamond finish, we used an eco-sustainable finish with a “pure Wood” effect, which retains the natural character of the wood to the eye and an untreated appearance to the touch. This is a topcoat based on renewable raw materials and certified according to ÖNORM A 1605-12, ÖNORM A 3800-1 and DIN 68861, and class A+ by the French standard DEVL1104875A.

Product Care
WOOD AND MDF Our furniture pieces, in solid wood and genuine MDF veneered wood, are handcrafted items of the highest quality, finished using varnishes with a very low environmental impact. Maintenance of these pieces is easy and only a few steps are required to keep them in good condition.
For daily cleaning of furniture with eco-sustainable, water-based finishes, simply use a dry or slightly moistened cloth, while in the case of persistent stains use a vegetable sponge with mild soap and water. No oils or waxes should be used on furniture containing water-based finishes. Chemicals should also be avoided as they may corrode the varnish and create additional stains or halos. When cleaning flat surfaces, motion should be horizontal or vertical and be parallel to the grain of the wood as much as possible. It should also be remembered that real wood furniture exposed to direct light changes its colour over time. This change is considered to be a natural process of oxidation of the raw material.
