Carefully selected woods, brushed to enhance the pore that characterize them. Manual leather work with tone-on-tone stitching that gently enhances the canneté effect. The value of Morica is expressed in the refinement and great quality of the materials.

Materials
STRUCTURE Real wood veneered MDF finished using varnishes or oils with a very low environmental impact. Two drawers, one of which is upholstered in genuine handcrafted leather for an irregular ‘canneté’ effect.
Laguna oak wood
Skilful twofold brushing of the raw material using iron and tinex has furnished a sessile oak variant that is inspired by the Venetian lagoon, where the dominant colour is a dark sessile oak grain with lead green detail.
Leather
The craftsmanship of the leather provides a particularly supple, uniform appearance, which is soft and light to the touch. The handcrafted threading makes each product unique and artisanal. The experience of our craftsmen, working diligently in the production of Italian design and quality, materialises into an eco-sustainable choice.
The wood used in Morica’s manufacturing processes is FSC® – Chain of Custody certified, which guarantees traceability of the supply chain and the provenance of raw materials from responsibly managed forests. The varnishes used to make our pieces are water-based and are sourced from ISO14001 certified companies. Our manufacturing processes are environmentally friendly because for us, design means living in a more sustainable world!

The leather has been carefully selected to meet the strict standards of quality and environmental sustainability. Our leather is of Italian origin (Leather from Italy – full cycle UNI EN 16484 certification) and is certified for low environmental impact and reduced emissions (Carbon footprint of prod ucts – ISO 14067: 2018; der Blaue Engel – RAL UZ 148); Environmental Product Declarations – EPD® System ISO 14025.

Product Care
WOOD AND MDF Our furniture pieces, in solid wood and genuine MDF veneered wood, are handcrafted items of the highest quality, finished using varnishes with a very low environmental impact. Maintenance of these pieces is easy and only a few steps are required to keep them in good condition.
For daily cleaning of furniture with eco-sustainable, water-based finishes, simply use a dry or slightly moistened cloth, while in the case of persistent stains use a vegetable sponge with mild soap and water. No oils or waxes should be used on furniture containing water-based finishes. Chemicals should also be avoided as they may corrode the varnish and create additional stains or halos. When cleaning flat surfaces, motion should be horizontal or vertical and be parallel to the grain of the wood as much as possible. It should also be remembered that real wood furniture exposed to direct light changes its colour over time. This change is considered to be a natural process of oxidation of the raw material.
LEATHER To clean parts in leather, simply use a cotton cloth moistened with water or a little mild soap. Three to four times a year, depending on wear, specific leather care products can be used to moisturise and provide elasticity, which also create a protective, water-repellent film that will facilitate cleaning.
