Laguna oak

Skilful twofold brushing of the raw material using iron and tinex has furnished an sessile oak variant that is inspired by the Venetian lagoon, where the dominant colour is a dark sessile oak grain with lead green detail.

The wood used in Morica’s manufacturing processes is FSC® – Chain of Custody certified, which guarantees traceability of the supply chain and the provenance of raw materials from responsibly managed forests. The varnishes used to make our pieces are water-based and are sourced from ISO14001 certified companies. Our manufacturing processes are environmentally friendly because for us, design means living in a more sustainable world! All our creations are Made in Italy and undergo strict quality controls.

For the Laguna sessile oak wood, we have used an eco-sustainable ‘pure wood’ effect finish, which retains the natural character of the wood to the eye and an untreated appearance to the touch. This is a topcoat based on renewable raw materials and certified according to ÖNORM A 1605-12, ÖNORM A 3800-1 and DIN 68861, and class A+ by the French standard DEVL1104875A. Epoxy powder coatings provide excellent mechanical strength, corrosion resistance (suitable for seaside locations), high durability and impact resistance. Since they are baked on, they are completely solvent-free. Printing on glass is non-toxic and odourless and uses environmentally friendly HP latex inks. It is Greenguard certified (low chemical emissions; UL 2818) and ECOLOGO® (reduced environmental impact; UL 2801).

Rounded shapes, hand-edged wooden tops or extra-clear glass tops printed with marbled textures for that ‘wow’ effect. Choosing a Morica piece means that you stand out with the best of Italian craftsmanship.

Product Care

WOOD AND MDF Our solid wood and real wood-veneered MDF furniture pieces are exceptionally high-quality handcrafted products, finished with coatings with a very low environmental impact. These products are easy to maintain and require only a few simple precautions to preserve their appearance over time.

For daily cleaning of furniture with an eco-sustainable water-based finish, simply use a dry or slightly damp cloth; for more persistent stains, use a vegetable sponge with water and mild soap. Oils and waxes must not be used on water-finished furniture. Chemical agents that may damage the coatings and create further stains or marks should also be avoided. When cleaning flat surfaces, movements should be horizontal or vertical and, as far as possible, parallel to the wood grain. Please also note that real wood furniture exposed to direct light sources changes colour over time. This variation should be considered a natural oxidation process of the raw material.

METAL Metal parts with epoxy powder coating should be cleaned using a soft cloth dampened with water and mild soap. Abrasive products, powders, chlorine-based products, acids or bleach must never be used, as they may oxidise and blacken the metal.

GLASS For daily cleaning of the pattered glass top, use specific products for glass and a soft cloth.
